Photo-Op on SLDiscovery.com is a semi-regular feature that puts the spotlight on a Second Life spot that makes for a cool place at which to take photos inworld. Not an entire sim, not even a complete parcel, but just a single specific location - a spot.

Today's Photo-Op is thanks to the creative folks of Fallen Gods. A short foray from the mainstore building in Selidor will bring you to this elven well situated on a small platform, encircled with decorative columns. This is where you (or your model) will make your camera happy!

This is most definitely a place to play with Windlight. The decorative elements of the columns are quite effective at catching angled lighting (such as a sunset), and the well with its neutral tones lends itself very nicely to extreme color changes.

This little spot is in a pretty environment. You'll find that for at least three-quarters of the platform's circumference, almost any camera angle is going to work. If you do spy something you wouldn't want in your picture, a simple nudge on the camera controls should be enough to clear the view.

A little bird will share the scene with you. Flitting fireflies and delicate dropping leaves will also compete for the camera. You may find yourself taking extra shots here to be sure a falling leaf hasn't covered your model's face. Not like that happened to me (cough), but...keep an eye on those leaves!

I chose to have LadyBlue dress in a fantasy style that could have been elven-inspired, but the features of this area are such that it could become almost any time or place you choose. Select an avatar and accessories that best fits your feeling for this Selidor well. Then snap away, and make it your own!

I'm writing this note to say "THANK YOU"
for the fun hunt. It was Fun!!!
I colleckted haerts and I got to do many fun things.

I road on a ride that hasd funny noises!
I sat on the red Queen's trone h. You cant see me
sit on her throne in this pitcure but I did.

I sat on a pretty pony's nose. That was funny!
I laugfhed a lot!!!
I got a BIG hug from a teddy bear!!
I watched a hammster drink water. I wanted to
pet it but it was in a cage.

I took a nap on a sailing ship but it wassn't
in water.
I went fishing and caght a crab that
sat on my sholder!!

I had a seereus talk with a sqiurell.
I got to drive a train all by myself!!
I got to sit down and draw pitcures of monsters.
I made it through a maze of rainbow collors.

I had such a good time for the hunt
And I colleckted all the haerts and got
A LOT of COOL LOOT !!!!! THANK YOU !!!!!

SLD Kids Be My Valentine Hunt Starting location.

SL Discovery and SL Discovery Kids! is havin a hunt for kids. It's daBe My Valentine Hunt, wiff 50 shops taking part. I gots da chance to preview some of da gifties dat will be offered as part of da hunt and wanted to shares. Besides what I could take pictures of, dere's gonna be gestures from a few of da shops.
